An unparalleled range of the latest technology and project developments and investor insights will be on show this year at Australia’s largest clean and renewable energy event, All-Energy Australia.
Ivor Frischknecht, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) will chair the Day 2 Opening Plenary program (5 October).
Mr Frischknecht said the conference was an important opportunity for a wide range of stakeholders in the renewable industry to share knowledge and showcase projects.
“At ARENA, we are focussed on supporting the next wave of projects that will drive the nation’s transition to a lower carbon energy system by making renewables cheaper and more effectively integrating renewables into Australian electricity networks.”
“ARENA is accelerating the change towards a more sustainable, reliable and affordable renewable energy future through support for more than 270 projects across the innovation chain. We are a vital bridge between research, development and widespread adoption” Mr Frischknecht said.
Tesla Energy, SolarEdge, Enphase Energy and Redback Technologies will present their cutting edge technological projects as part of the Day 2 Opening Plenary’s Innovation Showcase, led by Mr Frischknecht.
Clean Energy Regulator General Manager Mary-Anne Wilson will follow with a keynote presentation on market impacts of the Renewable Energy Target and sector development opportunities to build investment. Representatives of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Avoca Capital Advisors, Impact Investment Group, Megawatt Capital and ARENA will then join a panel discussion exploring where the current opportunities and challenges are in making Australia more bankable for domestic and international investment.
Organisers today also announced the All-Energy Australia Investor Breakfast – a new, exclusive event for investors on the hunt for potential investment projects valued at $100,000 and over.
Major Australian clean and renewable energy project proponents showcased will include:
- Syncline Energy: A 55 MW conventional Solar PV development called Bannerton Solar Park, which is located in North West Victoria
- DP Energy: A unique hybrid renewable energy development, the Port Augusta Renewable Energy Park, which integrates wind and solar PV technology
- Genex Power: Presentations from the developers of the Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project and the Kidston Solar Project
- XYZ Solar: A 6 acre 407kW PV farm built in 1998, the Singleton Solar Farm, which is comprising of two 200kW stages
- Infigen Energy: Presentations on six wind farms and a solar farm owned by Infigen Energy with a combined installed capacity of 557 megawatts operating in New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia

The All-Energy day 2 plenary program will close with a fireside conversational debate on the topic “Can market based policy measures like the renewable energy target be relied on to drive the growth of renewable energy in Australia, particularly given the ongoing policy changes and fact it is currently set to peak in 2020?”
Moderated by Clean Energy Council Chief Executive Kane Thornton, the debate will feature insights from thought leaders in clean and renewable energy investment: Tony Wood, Energy Program Director, Grattan Institute, Alexandra Campbell, Principal, Avoca Capital Advisors and Lane Crockett, Head of Renewable Infrastructure, Impact Investment Group Pty Ltd.
Semi-finalists of the New Energy Award and Smart Cities Award in the Australian Technologies Competition, an Australian technology incubator program, will feature in a showcase co-located with All-Energy Australia for the first time.
