Energy Storage

All-Energy Australia 2017 will showcase how energy storage is evolving; with batteries emerging at the household, commercial and grid level. The mindset of the industry is changing, as solar panels become cheaper thanks to the growing reliability of battery storage.

Smart Commercial Solar’s founder, Huon Hoogesteger, is among the industry experts who will be speaking on the subject at the free-to-attend trade show and conference, held 11 – 12 October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Huon will discuss the future of solar, storage and the energy market and Philippe Bouchard, vice president of business development and marketing at EOS Storage, will conclude the session with the latest advances in battery storage system technologies.

Highlights also include EnergyConsult Pty Ltd director Paul Ryan’s projections of residential energy storage to 2030 and Solar Australia’s senior engineer Carl Patrick’s presentation on design and installation in residential energy storage systems. Singleton Solar’s Andrew Thaler will also present his forecasts on the hot topic of pumped hydro, in a presentation focused on reimagining the battery storage system.

Exhibitors include international leaders LG, Fronius and Enphase. A globally renowned institution among electrical goods manufacturers, LG has invested in solar research since the mid ‘80s, and since 2011 LG solar has distributed more than 100W of panels to Australian customers, with a very low warranty return rate. The award-winning LG NeON range includes the new NeON R 360W.

Fronius is an Austrian company that works in the manufacture of welding equipment, solar inverters, battery chargers and other energy devices. Fronius opened its Australian branch, based in Melbourne, in 2010 and its biggest Australian seller is the Fronius Primo series for single-phase residential systems.

Enphase Energy has a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer Award among its many accolades. The California headquartered company is a worldwide leader in microinverters, AC home battery storage, smart solar monitoring technologies, and now integrated AC modules from top PV manufacturers. Products include Enphase Enlighten, Enphase Envoy and Enphase accessories.
