Dean is a Technology Innovation Engineer at Ergon Energy, where he leads projects to test and evaluate grid connected technology.  Dean has been working within the Electricity Industry for 25 years, in a range of roles from trade and technical to design, project management and engineering.

Since the start of the Queensland Solar City project in 2007, Dean has been working with the design, operation and management of grid connected solar PV systems.

Dean is currently managing a network project that integrates battery energy storage systems, solar PV systems, advanced home energy management systems and cost reflective electricity tariffs.

Dean has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with honours and has CEC design and installation accreditation for grid connected PV systems.
