The CEC has established the Women in Renewables initiative to achieve a better gender balance at all levels of the renewable energy industry. Women in Renewables hosts an annual luncheon at All-Energy, bringing attendees together to network and share strategies for women to build their profiles in the industry. Key ideas that have emerged from these gatherings to date include a mentoring program, female student outreach, workplace policies that offer flexible working hours and an effort to take baseline measurements of women’s participation in the sector.
