London fire stations lower carbon emissions
Figures released today show that carbon emissions have plummeted by as much as 44 per cent and energy bills will be cut by around £50,000 a year at ten fire stations involved in the Mayor of London’s RE:FIT programme. Merkel's nuclear energy tax plan backfires

UK: Huhne promises no coal without CCS
Chris Huhne has hit back at reports suggesting the government is watering down its commitment to phase out the UK's dirtiest power plants, insisting the government remains fully committed to banning new coal-fired power stations built without carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology. Writing in a letter to the Guardian in response to yesterday's front page story claiming that the UK's dirtiest coal plants have won a government reprieve, the energy and climate change secretary said the "idea that we are watering down our commitment is simply incorrect". Ireland could have 300% renewable energy
Ireland’s renewable energy sources have a potential three times the country’s energy requirements. Victoria launches solar grants program
The Victorian Government has called for applications from businesses and community groups for grants under the $3 million first round of the state's Solar Photovoltaic Hubs program.
